Remembering this thread, I tried clutchless shifting the other day. I'll stick to the buttery smoothness of double clutching

I know its possible, but why would anyone do it?
its possible if you let off the gas to the point where the engine is neither creating horsepower ( as in accelerating ) or creating drag ( as in engine braking ). If you find the happy medium there, you can shift w/o a clutch, regardless of how fast you are going.

its possible in subarus. dealers even try to convince people that its made to do it. a buddy of mine has a friend with a forester and he shifts without the clutch all the time. when he purchased the forester, the dealer told him it was ok to shift without the clutch.

yeah, mine will do it, it's just not smooth and clunks into roughly. I'll still stick to double clutching.

Besides, there's no real point to clutchless shifting. If anything I'd want handless shifting, but that'd be an AT which I paid to NOT have
