If you have proper modules compiled into php you can create graphical stuff...just not uberly amazing. I don't see why you would need perl...you aren't doing anything server side and these days unless you are in a unix environment theres no need for it. Router scripts, system scripts and other snmp device scripts is just about all that perl is super super useful for. Everything else can be done with a more recent language. Perl is also a lot slower than say php.. So now that you found some online calculators, is this still even needed? 1500 almost went straight out the door lol

Aha I checked out the second link. I would imagine that java would be a good lang for that. All I see is simple graphing..php can handle that no problem with a few functions made just for that. I still think java is the way to go with this though.

 

Java is definitely the right ticket for this. Graphing in Flash is less than great unless you're ridiculously good at Flash. Java is, in my not-so-very humble opinion, the better choice.
