Dennis Erickson - head coach 49ers!

I am actually glad that they hired someone with NFL head coaching experience. He has done a great job at the college level and ok job with the Seahawks, but so did Holgrom and it's the Seahawks. I was hoping that Dennis Green would end up wiht the job, not sure why that didn't work out. It seemed logical.

Well, he ain't Pete Carroll or Neuheisel, but he's not bad. Thank God we didn't get Dennis Green! Hmm, we could have really used a coach whose very talented teams underachieved and who couldn't get along with his mercurial star receiver...

Mora Jr. should still be the def cord. I didn't think he was ready for a head coaching job yet.

Yep. Hopefully he won't leave before it's time for a new head coach- as was the case with Pete Carroll, who was the last coordinator for a great 49er D and taught Mora much of what he knows (besides what he learned from pops, of course).
