I did it with a Dell Mini 9 that I evaluated at work, and I've also installed Mac OS X on my Dell Precision T3400 via the Kalyway image. The desktop is my primary work machine and works like a charm.

For a netbook I'd really look at the Samsung NC10. They have a good 9hr battery and the keyboard is just purely awesome. I've researched netbooks (before I bought my GF one) for a couple of months. The top 2 I think are the samsung NC10 and then the MSI Wind (which I got my GF). Just my opinion, you should do some research yourself.
IMO OSX >Window anyday, anytime, anywhere.

The point to using the Dell Mini is that there are no hardware compatibility issues whatsoever with OS X.

There isn't much of issues converting windows to OSX or vice versa anymore in many of the new computers on the market. They all have pretty similar hardware, I run bootcamp fine on my Mac. I also saw videos and demonstrations of installing OSX on the MSI wind, I'm sure there are videos to install them on Samsung NC10 without much hassle either. Apples and PCs are so similar in hardware that it is pretty safe to convert one to another.
