That's what i was thinking.

*Its not illegal and looks a lot better, more of a clean/classy look.

If you're worried about being pulled over for a wing, cf, gauges, springs, colors, tint, or anything else on that list, then don't buy a wrx, sti, or any performance oriented car... and definitely stay away from modding it...

That being said, I am pretty sure people that worry about the stuff on that list aren't on this forum (unless they're here without owning a car like those listed above... i.e. a saturn like rau )

i would imagine debaged cars will be less prone to getting pulled over.

I got pulled over one time for something and the cop during our conversation asked if I was trying to hide my cars I.D. so someone couldn't I.D. my car....I was like "what are you talking about"? He noticed I was debaged. I told him if I was trying to do that I wouldnt have "1WRX2NV" as a LP#. He said oh, ok..and that was that...

He let me go...

Any outward sign of possible illegal modification is more than enough reason for a search of the engine bay. Yes, the engine bay, nothing else. They can't search your glove box if you have an i-Club sticker.

For the life of me, I can't figure out why debadging could even be remotely considered "probable cause".

I think its B.S. I await my time to get pulled over on this. I got a trunk monkey button. I'll just tell the cop sit down in the drivers seat and to push it, Its my nitrous button...

You guys really need to start to complain over B.S. stops like these. The "oh your car looks illegal " Needs to get stopped. Complain to the news channels or to sema. They can help. Reason why motorcycles dont get busted as much as they should, The AMA helps fight this stuff. I'm kinda sure that sema does almost the same thing.

Dont be a dick when you get stopped, Just take down him name and badge number, reason for the stop and IF ITS B.S. call the local news people and tell them about it. With time things will change. If you dont ever do anything then it will only get worse.

Most Important thing is to be very kool with the cop when he stops you. Everyone will ask and use that for a reason to justify the cops actions.

^^Agreed!

I'm in the midst of a complaint with a PD in the north bay.
Long story short...pulled over for "muffler not meeting emissions", paid reg(but no tags) so the rookie impounded my car.
Lawyer is helping with the complaint part.

B.T.W. As I build my post count..lol

I think the honda's over shadow us still.. But if you have mutiple infractions your going to get stopped. I just dont go out at night. I live in layffette / walnut creek. When I get home from work, I walk down to the store.
I dont go asking for it. They have all seen my car. Its just a matter of time and if I give them the chance. So I lower my chances. At night the cop to traffic ratio is at its worse. You stand a chance of that officer seeing you and say oh yeah I remeber that ricer, and having the time to deal with you. During day the cop to traffic ratio is worse for them more cars on the road. I dont worry to much about it. I just dont try and stand out.

Like why do you carry a gun on you? If your in a area your going to need it should you have been there in the 1st place?

I know thats going to get a responce... lol

I'm a gun collector.. So there..

Sorry to hear about that. Did you have a temp tag? Cuzzz thats all they care about. If your in a bad ricer area they use the 30 day to quiet down the hood for a bit.

Muffler is not a emission controled device. Its a sound controled device.
Missing CAT is a whole other story.

I'm really thinking about pulling my window tint.

I raised my car back up. But you can see my car is asking to get stopped. No front lic plate and 2 cracks in the windshield.
I stripped all my carbon fiber. doing the black and blue thing.
My car still has dual reg, So I dont think they could do much least with my tint. But if I crossed a dick head I'm sure I'd end up getting nailed.
