i think its funny that so much attention was paid to this. i honestly didnt know this was happening until today, and its over too! so whats the big friggin deal? so he may or may not have been able to hold his breath. if he had done it, great. it would have been either magic or fake. either way, who friggin cares. i love when he came out of the sphere and was crying. LOL

lets put it this way... he is simply an illusionist who makes a lot of money based on crap marketting events like this. he's not trying to become a record holder for 'breath holding' by any means. on the radio this morning, it was mentioned that the real record holder is a female free-diver who died on her final attempt to break her own record (which almost has the 'who friggin cares' status as blaine's stunts). now that's someone who wants to break a record. blaine is out to make a quick 7-minute buck with a week long ball-of-water media event

The tooth thing, I can't figure out...

7 minutes 8 seconds was IN-EFFING-CREDIBLE. When I was in top swimming shape in late high school/early college the best I could do was just shy of 5 minutes... and that was while doing absolutely nothing. Not trying to get out of chains, etc.

I can see him being upset and exhausted enough to cry at the end. All the training he went through... he was 1:50 away from the record. That's really not that far.

If your talking about when he made the woman's tooth disappaear and re-apper, she was obviously a plant in the audience and had some kind of device in her mouth.

No, I realize she was a plant, but I still couldn't figure out the trick.
