Dan Wheldon died at Las Vegas Speedway in a 15 car crash.

If you start pausing aroudn the :25 sec mark every second, you can see like 2-3 people flying through the air.... then into the wall. Right before the wreck, they're actually in Wheldon's Car cam.

That was insane... especially since they have in car of the whole thing. It's so gnarly it seems like a movie scene. I mean the dude flew like 150-200 yards and then just blew up on the wall. I just hope he went on impact and didn't have to deal with the fire.
Very few people accomplish what he did in their lives. Very full. Very short. RIP Dan. I hope they have race tracks in heaven.
I'm glad he got to share his final night with his family doing something positive and I'm glad he got to die doing what he loves. Sorry his entire family had to watch it happen.
Yet another reason oval races are a stupid part of indy. There is absolutely no reason to run oval races in indy cars. None at all.

Now whether or not they should have started 34 cars on a 2.5 mile tri-oval, that might be a subject for further discussion, but I hardly think you could call a series "indy car" if it didn't run on oval tracks for a good portion of the series...
