It is a simple matter.

Unfortunately many LEOs enforce incorrect interpretations of our laws. As has been said, it is the job of judges to pass down the final subjective interpretation of a law...wioth lawyers to argue each side.

I am not a fan of over aggressive LEOs, especially in matters that do not cause harm to anyone. But I am not naive enough to assume that every LEO is interested in, willing to find, and capable of determining the correct interpretation of every section of code they are expected to enforce. It is nice to think that LEOs spend a lot of time studying law and legal interpretation while at work, but I do not think they have time for performing the job of attorneys.

The end result is that we often end up paying literally and figuratively to defend ourselves when we are in the right. While this is, to me, the very definition of fascism...most of us posting here have SOMETHING on our vehicles that is not legal.

The concept that there are too many laws is best left for another thread....maybe that thread with the law professor and cop saying "do not tell the cops anything" would be appropriate
