custom plugs for electrical components?

is it possible to make/have made plugs for electrical components for your car? does anyone offer this type of service?

basically, I have 05 wrx front heated seats, my car didnt come with heated seats. so, I bought buttons on ebay and made my own wiring harness. everything worked great untill the harness started falling out of the seat heater buttons b/c without a plug the wires are just directly soldered to the pins which only holds for a little while. I've looked for plugs from scrap yards off and on for about a year now, but no one will sell just the seat heater plugs, you have to buy the entire wiring harness.

So if anyone knows of a good way of connecting my wiring harness to the seat heater buttons either by employing the services of a professional or putting something together myself, your input would be greatly appreciated. tnxmuch.

i think what you are saying is cut into the cars existing wiring, which I would have happily done, but if your car doesnt come with heated seats, the wiring isnt there on the existing cars harness; which is why i made my own harness directly connected to the battery activated by a relay.

but really the problem is actually connecting the custom wiring harness to the seat heater buttons, you have to have plugs to snugly fit into the buttons themselves to hold connection in place.

how does the backside of the switch look like?

i would carefully dremel the plastic around it. then you can buy the tiny metal connectors from various places on the web.

Ok here is what you do.

1)Use MARINE GRADE blade bayonet connectors on the back of the switches.
2)Use heat shrink tubing to seal the connections, and seal the wires to the back of the switch.

If you want, PM me later and I will be glad to help you do this, I have all the crap at the house because I use that stuff on my rock crawler.
