Creepy Guy at Santana Row with a hidden camera taking pictures of my Girlfriend
So I’m with my girlfriend at Santana Row sitting in the chess area in the shade when a 35 year old clean cut black man sits down next to us. He is reading a newspaper and I think nothing of it. I then notice that his laptop bag that is sitting upright on the table (weird since people having it laying flat, not upright) was facing my girlfriend. I then noticed that I could see a large lens that was hidden in the top part of the laptop bag. I tell my girlfriend that she is being videotaped/having pictures taken of her so we move down the way.
We sit on the couches in the center of Santana Row and about 10 minutes later the guy comes over and sits down directly across from my girlfriend and I can see his camera lens facing my girlfriend again. At this point I knew it was no accident and was very mad. I confront the man asking to see what was in his bag. He replied “No.” I then asked him why he had a camera in his bag and he said because he liked to take pictures. I said why are you taking pictures of my girlfriend? He said, “because I think she is attractive.” I asked him what he did with the pictures and he said, “I like to look at them, to analyze them, and do what I want with them.” I asked him to delete the pictures now and he said no, because it is perfectly legal for him to take pictures. I told him that I didn’t think my friends who were cops would feel the same way he did. He continued to blow me off and I just decided to leave with my girlfriend and go home.
It was a beautiful day today and it was all ruined because of this creep at Santana Row. To all those that go there be aware of your surroundings and be on the look out for a middle aged black male, clean cut, no facial hair, who has a slight French accent. It is appalling to imagine what he would be doing taking pictures of my girlfriend so covertly and I don’t want this to happen to anyone else.

Wow, that's really creepy... And kudos for spotting such a creep. Most people are oblivious to things like that.
You did the right thing by calling him out...
If it would have been me and my GF (especially my EX-Gf), I would have grabbed his bag and ran off with it... if he caught up, I'd pepper spray him. Then I'd bolt. Bet he has pictures of kids and stuff too!

You shoulda just took out your camera and take pictures him too, to at least try and weird him out too. At the very least, you coulda posted his picture here for us to make fun of.

id be pissed off... pull out my digital slr and take hella pictures of him, follow him to a car or something to identify him better, then get pics of the plates and report him to pd and post it on here with a "F-ING Creep" Stamp on his head...
I ALWAYS HAVE MY CAMERA in my car in case ANYTHING happens around me that I want or need pics of =)

If that was me and some one was taking pics/video of my wife and admitted that he was doing so. I would've
1) taken my camera phone and taken a picture of him.
2) started making a scene then and there to let others know what he was doing, I'd bet others especially women would not be too appreciative of his activities either. Mall security would've shown up and I'll bet that mall security would escort him out.
