my 04 seems to 'buck' if I let off the gas too soon when im about to shift[4K-5.4K RPM.
Is this waste gate flutter just a noise, or does it actually effect performance?

Ok guys.... here's the meat of that thread:

Now I can only hear a quieter hint of it around 4kRPM under 8-10psi. It deffinately sound healthier and spools a bit quicker as well.
Here's the theory behind it if anyone's interested:
When we all put on turbobacks with much less restriction than the stock exhaust, we also removed that backpressure helping the WG to stay closed under lowe boost. By shortening the actuator arm, you're putting a pre-load on the spring and using the preload to hold the WG shut longer. Be careful not to overtighten as this may cause spiking (from personal experience ).
Try it out and let me know if it works.
Thanks

How'd you turn it 1 1/4 turns? It's only half turn incrememnts. I'm going to do it this weekend. Since I put on the twindump DP the flutter kills me, sound like the worst case of knock known to man.
