biggest pieces of **** on the market right now. They're on big threads on pretty much every suby board right now by IPOZESTU on his crawford block experience...it wasn't good. Not only are they pieces of crap but so is quirt. Why deal with crappy people and crappy products when you can get built blocks right here in the bay area and have them tuned by the people that build them. wow.
Shoot you'd be far far better off going with a stock 2.5 block and working from there than going crawford.

Seriously. Stay away from Crawford. The S2 block I had ordered was purchased just after the "Bobblehead thread" on Nasioc. I figured I couldn't go wrong, with all of the bad press they had gotten I thought sure the would be dotting all of thier i's and crossing all of thier t's. After the first install and a less than adequate tune from FLI the block was shipped back to Crawford for inspection. He said it was in perfect condition and shipped it to Gruppe-s for reinstallation. To make a long story short The motor blew a rod bearing 34 days after reinstallation. The cylinder walls were scuffed at the 12 and 6 o'clock positions from the pistons rocking in thier bore. There was no nned to argue with Quirt about this as he feels that the engines he builds are the Creme de la Creme. A shop Mic'd the whole motor after it blew and they begged to differ.
DO NOT SPEAK WITH CRAWFORD PERFOMANCE!!! THEY ARE AN INSULT TO OUR COMMUNITY!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!

godforbid!!!
jk. this is what I was talking about when I said earlier to get a motor from someone local that will actually tune what he builds. It's most likely what is going in my car when mine finally goes.

i thought my questions was self explanatory, i guess ill be more specific
has anybody had any experience with a gruppe-s stage 1 motor, i was considering this purchase but i have yet to talk to anybody that doesnt work for gruppe-s... i would like an outside opinion
will the stage 1 hold up in the long run, i mean a long *** time, 100,000miles? gruppe-s claims 535hp capable, but how much is somebody in the really running on these short blocks? will it handle mucho power safely and reliably???
ive had my orignal uber car's motor blow twice while at sac raceway...honda prelude, h22a, blah blah blah...i just dont wanna deal with the hassle of blown motors ever again while making modifications to my car for power
