cost on shipping wheels and tires

I was wondering if any one in the BAIC had ever shipped rims and tires to the east coast? I have someone who wants to buy my rotas with tires and I have a pallet and shrink wrap and stuff to protect it so I just need to get an idea on the cost. Im sure the only way to go is freight. All HELPFUL comments are welcome.

Now thats what I was looking for, I am assuming you had to find boxes for them correct? If so where did you find them?

I just hope they have big enough ones to fit 18's with the tire on still. I shall PM them.

dont put them in boxes, because the shipper will charge more. they charge by weight and dimensions.

I deflated all 4 rims completely and just shrink wrapped the hell out of them.

Ahhhhhh, good idea. I never would have thought about that. That sounds like a plan.

yea i did it the same way when i sent some rims out to florida. Just make sure you have extra patting on the bottom and on the top because that was the complaint the buyer had. That UPS trashed the bottom. Lucky for me, I added extra cushion and created a stronger bottom with some duct tape.
good luck
