I would say BEYOND unorganized...it was a very frustrating thing to be honest and what they were doing during the Time Attack was BEYOND unsafe, it was down right scary.
who dumps street cars in with race cars? Not very smart if you ask me. Not only that but letting cars on the track when you have a car at over 140 mph coming into a turn and releasing a car that is going 20 mph in front of them.

Yeah subiefest was SUPER unorganized but it was still a great event. TONS of cars. Solid amount of track times if you paid to get out there. If you did every session and the driver challenge it was about 2 hours of track time.
Yeah putting street class cars and STOCK cars on the track at the same time as modified cars was ridiculous. Hell some of the "exhibition" cars that were on the track at the same time as the B class cars were serious cars. Viper. Vette. R8. Race prepped M3. Supercharged Z. Etc. Fortunately everyone came off safe.
Seeing the LIC car first hand I can really say that it was fast. Looked great out there. Sounds awesome too. I'm really stoked for you guys. LIC is putting together a killer car in a hurry. Beating JZ is no easy challenge. SUPER stoked for you guys.
I was impressed with Jeff as well. IPOZESTU. For his first time on the track in a pretty much stock LGT he looked really good. He got faster and faster as the day progressed and by the end was putting consistent lap times together... talkin 0.7 second spreads on his laps.
Oh... not sure the dudes name in street class but he won it with a 1:34.something or other. Friggin AMAZING for a stock turbo car.
Had a great time. Props to Jeff for getting us home in one piece. I was a mess and of no use to anyone. Hell an window getting opened scared me half to death. I had a blast with the GST guys... even though my fat as kept me out of the L. Missed the LIC guys at the beers after the event stop.
Gotta say... VERY let down by the HUGE lack of BAIC support. You guys are suppose to be hard core subie community people and I did not see a SINGLE BAIC i-club person at the track that wasn't from a shop. Not one. Sad. Least none that I knew.

One HUGE thing I forgot.
GST showed up for this event even though they were NOT competing in it. They drove all night to get there. I know because I greeted them at the gate. We're talking GST Phase 1 showed up around 3:40am and Phase 2 showed up around 4:40am.
No sleep at all. They rocked all day running the L out there and working it hard. They did a can food drive. Installed a passenger seat in the car and gave people the rides of their life in the L. I saw a guy literally shaking when he got out. He could not stop talking about how fast it was and that it was the ride of his life. They did the best they could do get every person on the list in the L and damn near made it. A couple of the guys that didn't make it in went home with a track driven Hankook tire signed by Gary. Pretty awesome.
Seeing the smiles on these people's faces when they got out was something special.
GST really showed their stuff out there. Showed what kind of team and shop they are and made memories that these people will cary FOREVER.
Props to GST and LIC for showing what the bay area subaru community is all about.
Was a pleasure to witness.

Just so you guys know, EVERYONE that I know who went to Subefest is talking about the LIC race car! I keep hearing about how flawless you guys looked out there and how badly you embarrassed everyone. The newbies pwning the seasoned racers for a change! You guys make me proud as hell!
Mike said he thought you were going to EXPLODE when they let that car onto the track at 20mph! His words "I thought Noah'er was going to explode! I've never seen him that pissed off!". I don't blame you though man! That was a recipe for disaster!!! Imagine if you guys would have wrecked the car cuz of that!? What if someone got hurt!? What idiots!
Hopefully you tore them a new one so they'll remember not to do that next year. n00bs!
How long has Subiefest been going on anyway? I know it's not as old as our annual meet since we have the longest running annual meet in the world (for subies), as well as one of the largest!
/plug for BAM.

Mike told me that they have some FUNNY *** footage of people riding in the L. I can't wait till he posts up!
I also really want to see the video of the GST L race car racing the Easy Street 8 second drag car on the strip! We all know how fast the L is and the easy street car beat them by 12 car lengths!!! (They got an 8 car lead and lost by 4 cars). I can't imagine riding in that 8 second subie!
Sounded like a really good time, not because of the venue but because of the people involved... You were in great company, Ray. It's too bad that S.F. is in such poor management (unorganized). I don't blame them though, it;s really hard to organize something like that when you're understaffed.

Na he just did the track time. It's too bad too because I think he could have won the drivers challenge with his consistent times. But he was super burnt out. He was operating on VERY little sleep and was just toast at the end of the day. And not to mention his track sessions were all jacked up. He missed the first couple because they weren't doing a very good job announcing them and has absolutely no schedule they were following. That was the biggest issue.

GST rocks for coming out to support the subie community and raising money for charity! Good going guys!

I can't express how happy I am for the boys at LIC and Dr Russ Warr, through all the hard work and sleepless nights, they performed flawlessly. They deserved that win and for sure many many more wins to come. Couldn't of happened to any better people.
We also have to thank all the people that took time out of their personal life to come and help/support us. Not just at this event, but at all the events. You guys got the car and team where we are now. Couldn't have done it without you guys. I think I can speak for GST that we are privileged to have your friendship and part of our team.

jk man, there's truth to every word of what you said.
It's been such a great pleasure to watch all of the bay area (as well as national) shops grow over the years. 10 years ago none of the shops even existed, and now look! You guys have all come soooo far and I'm sooo proud of you! I remember when Cobb wasn't even a gleam in Tray Cobb's eyes! Damn, I feel old and pathetic now.
