cobb AP map question

i just picked up a AP v1 from a really cool guy in santa cruz today (gave me a free momo shift **** and all-weather mats too). quite a difference the stage 1 map does. the power delivery is so much smoother and the drive back on hwy 9,35 was a blast.

my question is, i uploaded the regular stage 1 map, not the one specified for NV/CA/AZ. how vital is it that upload the NV/CA/AZ variation?

oh yeah, and any suggestions on usb to 9-pin cable?

thanks in advance.

I'm *guessing* its not vital, but its prolly advisable once you can download and load the CA map.

Also, if you like the stage 1 map, you're going LOVE the stage 2, so start saving for that catted downpipe!

Would a catless downpipe work for stage 2 also?

According to cobb's website the 'ACN91' map was developed for the lesser quality gas in arizona, california, and nevada.

Also according to them, the calibration of the acn91 have slighty less boost tagets, richer fuel curve, and primary ignition curve is less agressive to help compensate for the Arizona, Nevada, and California 91 octane.

You will see alot more differences with an aftermarket dp and up.. going to the stage 2. And it's not worth it to get a protune unless u get a bigger turbo.

when I got my vf34 I used the OTS map. boooooo after the protune by eqtune.. it's now smooth and fast.
