Wow, cause I was actually considering selling my WRX and getting a GC and eventually swap a V2 STi motor!
Great minds think alike? Though I wouldn't be keeping my WRX...
Kinda need the extra money right now, for surgery. Then once all that's done with, I can start playing with a turbo...

Yea my dad just said why don't you build up another car and just use this one to drive around in. The i was like well i could get and old 2.5 and build that and he said this summer lets go for it. So now im just in the search for a 2.5 and i wanted to see if LIC could help me out with parts and what-not, and they know i would totaly rep them all the way. LIC FTW!!!
So you'd just be looking for a 2.5RS with a blown engine? Are you planning on swapping the entire STi drivetrain (rear LSD, etc) into the 2.5RS? Cause I know only a few years of teh RS come with a rear LSD, so if you weren't swapping the rear pumpkin, that'd be the year to go for.
But why not go full bore with the Brembo's and other goodies!

Oh sweet, that sounds tight! Get an account over at RS25.com as they have a TON of info, and classifieds dedicated mostly to GC Impreza's. And yeah, LIC is definetly the place to go for help with GC swaps.

What about this one:
"2000 Impreza RS 6K OBO M/T - $6000 (milpitas)"
http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/car/336546694.html
Definetly think you could talk him down because he claims the engine "eats'' coolant. But it does have some pretty decent mods as it is...
