I picked up a ticket on 880S on Saturday. 80 in 65. CHP dude was pretty cool about it, but gave me the ticket anyway.

I was passing a BMW at the time, and opened up into a zone free of traffic. And then saw CHP on the side. Pulled over before he even lit up the lights. lol

So you pulled over for chp without being instructed to do so. What's the matter with you? How do you know he was going to light you up? Y not the BMW?

it depends on the situation, but i think playing dumb and hoping the CHP doesn't pull you over, when its obvious that he saw you...is dumb. I think most CHP would respect that you pulled over...or they would flip out on you and say why would you pull over without my consent! powertrip...ENGAGE!

If you pull over before he has a chance to lite you up, that's an admission of guilt. Even if he wasn't 100% on pulling you over (not enough evidence for PC), you just gave him/her a reason to do so. You really are better off not pulling over.

I wouldn't pull over unless I was instructed to do so. Sometimes they're just checking you out. And if you pull over, they're going to question why you pull over and follow you.

There are countless times that I've been tailed by a CHP and not get pulled over.

Probably because of daylight savings. I have seen some statistics before saying that accidents increase by almost 20% on the Monday following the time change.

Hopefully it won't be so bad this saturday since I have to go down to the bay. My car isn't exactly the quietest on the road....or the most ordinary looking.

I noticed them all over 680 yesterday in between Walnut Creek and Martinez. I thought I was going to be busted for sure!

Thats the worst, I knew a SFPD rookie who had to give someone a jaywalking ticket because their FTO told them to.
