they stereotype us. we stereotype them. there's always cool cats, and there's always dicks out there. usually it only takes a one or very few encounters of someone to build up a stereotype based on race, gender, occupation, etc. that's life. lol

 

lots of motorcycle cops on 680 this afternoon in danville/walnut creek area. every time I merged onto the freeway going slightly into boost I would look over and have a cop right next to me. hah my car is really loud now and each time the motorcycle cop would just continue on his way. they were pulling lots of people over also, guess they were just looking for people going over the speed limit.

Yes it's expensive but the look on a cops face as he thinks his LIDAR is broken = priceless.

Yes they are doing their job. Their job is to write tickets. My family (real cops) calls them AAA with badges. They really don't do ****. They make the state money.


They keep getting more and more money and more and more people...meanwhile the REAL cops are shorted and severely understaffed and underfunded. These leads to an increase in crime as police presense is down as well as a decrease in SOLVED violent crimes.

NO STATE....NO STATE is worse than we are with solved violent crimes. S.F. was like 17% last year.

What's more important...stopping shootings in salinas. Gang activity in south S.F. Drug dealing in oakland. Car thefts in richmond.

OR...>OR.....

stopping some speeders.


That's all they really do is stop speeders. Or pull over guys that look like they might have other things they can write tickets for. No front plate...why not tell me the truth. I'm giving you a front plate ticket because it's all I could get on you and we can use lidar effectively on you without it.

I will NEVER run a front plate. I'll pay the $10 EVERY time I get a fix it ticket.

I never see a chp around when I see a drunk driver. When I have some *** hat ****ing with me on the freeway. When I see someone weaving traffic and cutting people off. Or when someone is going 15mph under the speedlimit in the fast lane causing all sorts of crap.


Write tickets. Report accidents. Clean up the freeway of accidents. OCCASSIONALLY stop and help a broke down motorist.

Like I said....AAA with badges.

I was at the scene of a MAJOR accident a few years back. Had to drag a body out of the freeway. Talked to one woman until she died. Another guy was so bad off he was bleeding EVERYWHERE. Not a SINGLE CHP was anywhere to be found. NOT ONE. In fact it took me flagging down a security guard to get them out there. It then took the fire department 15-20 minutes to get out there and still....NOT ONE CHP was anywhere to be found. This was on the freeway in a MAJOR area of town. It was in milpitas.

They ended up shutting down the freeway and rerouting traffic. Flew a helicopter in. Etc.

The CHP didn't get there until just before the helicopter did. The fire department had to use a HUGE fire truck to block the freeway.

But on the NEXT exit down the road the CHP had no problems pulling me over at the EXACT time of the night for running a red light I didn't run. Oh...and then holding me on the side of the freeway for nearly 2 hours for NO REASON. I went to court, the officer showed and dropped the case...as he had no case.


My point is not that they serve no purpose as they do. They need to be out there. My point is that the attention is paid on the wrong things AND that california money is off kilter in their favor. There should be LESS CHP and more regular cops. Sorry...but crime is more important to me than traffic.

and whats with the chp pulling people over in town? ive seen this alot. they seem to like to patrol in town more then on the freeway. i know they can patrol within a certain distance of a hwy but why, not stay on the Fn freeway were you belong and were you should be!!!! they dont need to be on surface streets thats what local and county officers are for!!!! eh i give up

um are you HIGH!? dude the chp freaking almost always takes up to 30min to respond to anything! the only time they actually arrive fast is if they so happen to be close by which mind you is next to NEVER

PLEASE enlighten me, because all i see them doing is, writing chicken **** tickets, sitting in truck weight in scale houses, posted on overpasses with their new toy LIDAR, patrolling in town, driving right past stranded motorists on the freeway, and handing out attitude 24/7 to other wise law abiding tax PAYING citizens while doing NOTHING for use in return, but fund their crappy existence.

CHP SUCK ***!!! They have pulled over my 06 STI a combined total of five times for NO VALID REASON at all, simply to harass me or my wife.

 

In the police academy almost every single person there, including the instructors bad mouth the CHP... How their standards are much lower than local PDs, how they don't really care about anything but giving tickets, etc...

Most cops who just write tickets and stuff are usually frowned upon... Most good cops hate writing tickets (unless you're totally doing something insane)... Rather, they enjoy fighting REAL crime, like busting child molesters, murderers, drug dealers, gangs, etc... Not giving granny a ticket for going 5 over.

I hate the CHP... I'll never forget when I was 17 and a friggin CHP officer pulls me over and gives me a ticket for wearing headphones... Yeah, I can see if I was driving a car, but I was riding my bike near my house!!! MY BIKE! He cuts off traffic and crap and almost rams me and yells at me as to how dangerous it is to wear headphones, etc... He gave me a $70+ ticket, I forced it into my mouth as he stood there looking at me... Chewed and pretended to swallow... He gave me a strange look and drove off. Bastard!!!

Needless to say, I spit that ticket out really quick after he left, carbon paper tastes like ****!

Trust me, ive had my bad experiances with CHP and PD, But that doesnt mean i have a bad taste in my mouth and illl hate them forever.
