CHP Aircraft DO Exist. I Got A Ticket! Altamont Pass!
!!! YEAH!!!
Any advice is appreciated...though its been 18 months exactly so i dont mind taking 1 hour traffic school online
Driving my friends 15 year old Ford Ranger (4.0L haha) that thing charges up the hills!
580 thru the windmills...Though it was a clear and sunny day, dont speed unless its cloudy and windy i guess.
The only thing i can do is find out if there are signs there that say "Patrolled By Aircraft" otherwise im paying up. I dont really wanna waste my time in court...that is an hour away.
Look on the bright side, i scored these sick minibikes for $700! Both street legal. Im gonna put some 120cc engines in them. They are so sick! One is '77 other is '79. OG ******

damn that's crazy.
Back in the day I ran the pass racing a sport bike doing over 135mph. That would have sucked.
So my question is... did the plane pop you and you got pulled over by a regular CHP or did you just get a ticket saying an airplane nabbed you... and if so HOW THE HELL did they get your plate.
Side note... mini bike WOOT.
my boss's kid has a little 50 that's all juiced for racing. I'm thinking about trying to buy it. My brother and I have been wanting to get mini bikes to smash around the property on. Either that or some gas RC cars and building a track.

Don't they just use markings on the road to calculate your speed? Meaning no radar meaning a radar detector is useless.

Sorry man, im keeping the 75cc's since they are original.
i'll Blurr you.
I was seriously only speeding for 2 minutes, otherwise i was going 75-80...i started speeding when i asked my friend "is your speedo calibrated?" because i was gassing it a little and we wer hauling up the hill at 90...i guess thats why they baja out those trucks. Super fast 4.0l in a little stock Ranger. total sleeper, i want one. It only cost us $30 from MV-Sac-MV
I actually hopped behind a CR-V that passed me doing 90 in the fast lane, and i think the airplane was pacing it, and it probably radio'd in " catch this blue pick up truck while youre at it. The girls in the CR-V couldve got away because the CHP avoided tailing them and came right for me.
We came over the pass, the CHP was in the center median, and as i saw the CR-V pass him there was a fricken huge cloud of dust, tires hoppen, rocks flying, so i swerved safely to the slow lane to make room for CHP to merge into the fast lane...since at the time i knew he didnt see me doing anything wrong.
so 2 cars pulled over, one CHP car. a two-fer!

when you get clocked by a plane and pulled over by a chp, BOTH of them have to show up to court against you or its lack of prosecution, good chance only the roller will go to court, g'luck

i meant you haha.
OOO yeah good idea, get a nice clear summer day court date (which is the only time CHP aircraft work...clear days with little wind (by windmills ) lol
But if i lose, am i F'd? i know a lot of things arent worth going to court for, since the consequences are higher if you lose, otherwise EVERYONE would be going to court even if they have no case.

^ yeah, im actually going down to San Diego in a week...I will go at night because sources say CHP Aircraft dont work at night, i guess because of not being able to see the mile markers? hopefully thats true.
I made it from Mountain View to SanDiego a few months ago in 6 hours. 9:30PM-3:30 AM
F traffic.
I saw no cops, i just slow to 75 at every overpass on I-5 and expected to slow down thru LA, but ended up doing 80-90 with everyone else! Driving at night is the way to go IMO
