With a T-Mobile, it's definitely possible. T-Mobile offers more kick-backs than Cingular.
As for the $100 W850, which service? How long of a contract? Family Plan? Where? That price is really good even for an Asian dealer.
Sorry, I'm not trying to interregotate... but all those factors should be told when talking about prices.

of course you can only get an unlocked phone from private sellers, online, or asian stores.

unlocked phones ftw. even better are the top of the line technology japanese/korean/asian phones. unlocked and got like everything you need into those phones. if you want a text+calling phone just go get a cheap cingular one or something. but i suggest going to chinatown stores to get the good hook ups.

yeeeap. one of my buddies has a phone that he got in early 2005. it has a 5.0megapixel, or 5.1megapixel camera, records videos, 1 gig of memory, and it has a slot for expandable memory. it's some korean company, i have no idea what it's called though

for the 850 tmobile 1 year single (2x) star star? communications (i think thats what they are called) on irving. They were offering about 200 per line i was thinking about opening up and just buying the phone myself but they had just gotten one in so i just bought it.
so yea I could be wrong the 810 being free but browsing the paper it was advertised as free, plus the guy at Orange was really pushing it *shrugs*

Cool, good to know.
I was a little surprised because the W850 goes for ~$500.
For single lines,
T-Mobile offers ~$200 cash back on a one year contract and ~$250 cash back on a two year contract. (At most of the places I checked out in the South Bay)
You could negotiate the price even more, but that still puts it far away from a $100 phone. I gotta find some of these shops your going to!
Then again, the cost of gas would negate the point of saving money. :P
