Question A CEL issue... "water heater controll circuit low"

Hey folks,

I've got a CEL, from which Subaru Santa Cruz pulled code PO037

"Water Heater Controll Circuit Low - Bank 1"

They checked a bunch of stuff, including coolant temp in and out, fuel trim, and some other things I have forgotten... nothing wrong.

The code keeps coming back, though, and their next option would be to reflash the ECU...

But I've got an ecutec, so tha't out.

So I have these questions for my i-club bretheren:

Does anyone have any experiences that might shed any light on this?
Any idea what might be wrong and with what?

Would taking it to a tuner be the next logical thing to do?

I didn't know a car HAD a water HEATER... what's up with that?

Thanks for any illumination,
Mike

02 sensor.

I dont know why they said "water" but the PO 037 code is HO2S Heater Control Circuit Low ( Bank 1 Sensor 2)
"heater" bank 1 is the heated 02 sensor, its comon for these to go out, they probably saw H02 and thought H20, haha

Thanks, leutenant K

I'll call SSC tomorrow and ask 'em about it. If that turns out to be it, I've got a bottle of wine for you at the next drive.

Any idea what a new O2 sensor is gonna cost me?
