does anyone know the link or where I can get the info for this. I just put on a catless uppipe and turbo back and 100 miles later bang CEL. So I want to do the fix with the resisters. Thanks

Car Info: I got a couple :)
1 go to Radio Shack and get a resistor for the uppipe "2.2 K 14V" (.99 cents package of 4) then drive to www.gb-motorsports.com and buy the MIL eliminator by Pony Express from us at $15 and we will install all of these at a low price of $20.

cheers

Here is a thread I wrote with pictures about the 2.2k ohm resistor mod.

same as a CEL fix but for the downpipe .. That you need to wire up under the car on the 02 sensor wiring.

cheers

This connector connects to the EGT probe on the up-pipe (Engine Side). Unplug the EGT probe, if you have one at all, and on the car side of the connector, place the 2.2k ohm resistor.

This mod is a necessary if you are running a catless up-pipe with no EGT bung. It can also be used if your EGT probe is damaged, or just doesn't work properly, and gives you continous If the ECU doesn't see a signal from the EGT probe, it will trigger a CEL (P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency) . All that the 2.2k ohm resistor does is trick the ECU into thinking it has constant temperature going to the EGT probe.

A MIL eliminator gets rid of the malfunction illumination light caused by not running a rear catalyst near the rear O2 sensor. If you are running catless, you will probably get at CEL for this (P0136 O2 Sensor Cicuit Malfunction). By buing a MIL eliminator, you will do away with a CEL's for good. You wire the MIL eliminator into a properly working O2 sensor, and it filters the information sent to the ECU, telling it it is working properly.

how hard is it to install a MIL eliminator? Do you just splice into your rear o2 sensor wiring and your done or do you connect it to something somewhere else?

Super Simple. This is the way I did it. Unplug your rear O2 sensor, loosen the Rear O2 sensor, and take the entire O2 sensor assembly out of the car. There are 4 wires. Cut 2 wires, shorten them, splice the MIL eliminator in, and put it all back together. Remember to wrap all of the newly spliced wires in eletrical tape and reinstall in the car. Easy stuff.
