Cats pooping on top of shed

Please help.

I solved the cats pooping on my lawn by adding a movement sensed sprinkler lawn sentry. When the battery died, I tried the jug of water, which so far, the cats have not returned to the lawn.

However, instead of pooping on my lawn, they've migrated to pooping on the roof of my backyard shed. This has been going on for a long time now and I need a strategy for getting them to stop. It's disgusting and it's sliding off and my kids play in the yard.

(waits for the laughter to die down)

Ok, so what can I do? Besides it sucking to be me, I need suggestions.

I can't use the lawn sentry because this is the ROOF of my shed. A sentry would spray the neighbors house and I don't want to sour otherwise peaceful relations. The water jug idea doesn't work because this is a sloped roof shed. I'll try the ground hot pepper but that never lasts past a couple days. Help!

Put big rat traps in various areas on your shed. They wont want to come back.

What you need to do is put Vinegar or water in a spray bottle with Tabasco, a metric ton of paprika/red pepper/anything hot you can get your hands on (some death sauce would be good) and spray the top of your shed with it.

I had to do this with Coyotes and trash when I lived in the middle of nowhere. You'll have to redo it maybe once a month but maybe less for cats and it doesn't take but a few squirts to get the roof done.

I'd seriously shoot them with a pellet or beebee gun. Owners are letting their cats out, but you have to deal with the poop? I don't think so. #1 for a big rat trap or just shoot 'em. Cruel I am, but someone's poop scooper I won't be.

Oh I'd so shoot them... but this is clearly happening at like 2-4 am in the night. I sleep then.

I believe they make the high frequency devices to keep dogs out, and I'm sure it works on cats as well. Just like your lawn sentry idea but will work anywhere you can mount the sensor and speaker

Yeah that worked for like a year. The cat got the message after being shot four times. I dont have a hard core air gun just the spring loaded red rider daisy one.
