Yea it does look like rebar, but its another deterrent and would make it that much harder for them to take it. I like the idea of it, and im sure it could be improved to make it even better

i think they are counting on this being enough of a deterrent to ward people off than someone actually even attempting to cut through it. i mean why not make it out of 17-4 or hastelloy?

lol the guy woke the whole neighborhood up yelling for help. My buddy went out and wouldn't cut the guy loose until the cops got there. Cops told him he was sick and that he couldn't do that but couldn't cite any law forbading it. No criminal charges were filed.

yeah its pretty big in milpitas. i get a lot of shops calling for cats cause they were stolen. i guess 3 people were arrested like a week ago here too.

That's awesome, I know there is something about 'entrapment' something or other, but glad to hear the owner of the vehicle didn't get in to any crap.
At 300$ a pop I'd have done something similar.

I originally opened this hoping for some neighborhood critter death trap mixed with humorous youtube videos.

Never the less, those are a great idea! I caught some punk stealing my neighbors cat from his truck back when I lived in Roseville. Lucky for my neighbor I start work at 3a.m.
