For informational purposes, if you are going to get it officially checked out at some DB check place, they hold at rpm of 4k, which means your exhaust will be even louder.

just gave HKS USA a call, they said they don't make silencers for the carbon Ti, and they claimed it is 95db at 3500 rpm, and therefore i dont need one. i guess i'll just put the stock one back on for nwo

i believe that is what u have to do. Talk to Babysmurf on the boards here, she has a silencer, and from i remember, she got a silencer and split it in half and took only half of the silencer and stuck it in and it worked.

As far as I know, that catback is under 95db, and should be street legal in CA, but the cop insisted it was too loud.
Are there any cool cops around the bay area that i could get this signed off without putting the stock one back?
Dude! where in berkely and what was the cops name i know all of the old timers there, not to sure about the "new guys". i dont know if i can get you out of the ticket becasue it is already turned in but i could talk to him and tell him its under 95db...

well berkely cops kick ***,the newbies may be a little differnt considering there new and still on probation. from what i know and what my dad knows they would never pull you over for something as stupid as exhaust sound or having a fast car or even Skateboarding like most other towns, they actaully have something to do. ok so what my dad said is even if you have the ticket writen off you still need to pay like 10-20 dollers for something, not sure.

Call HKS and have them fax you a copy of their CA compliance notice. It states that the Hyper/Ti exhaust is compliant with 21750 and related codes. You will have to prove to them with your sales invoice that your exhaust is 13 months old or younger.
