Has nothing to do with that. it's just cold hard facts and logic.
California is trying to become **** germany minus the concentration camps... oh wait we're not to far off... seems every race and type has it's own "part of town" these days, even the gays.

Just saying man... if you've got a wheel and a tig and the skills... build your own TBE and save yourself the dough. While you're at it build me one.

Care to roll out some floor pans for me? My caddy needs some rust repair. Damn passenger side is all jacked up.

If I had room right now to finish setting up my garage shop (and the money as I need to pick up a good wheel again) I would be happy to for a few bucks. I love to fabricate.

It really annoys me that this car has been out since 2002 and no aftermarket manufacturer has gone to the trouble of getting an EO#. In general I've found it really hard to find CARB parts for Subaru's (this is my 3rd). This just seems to be a Subaru thing.
There are tons of CARB parts for Camaros, Mustangs, Vette's and Honda's

Therefore, you cannot legally modify/replace the cats. Even if you replace the cat with a better filtering one, it is still illegal. No one said Cali laws made sense.
Wrong

camaro, mustang, and vette owners will spend $$$ on upgrades.

subaru owners will buy crap off e-bay and cut the tips of their injectors.

:ahem: we call them "modded" injectors and think of them as new parts because for some reason we buy them from retailers. We hardly "cut the tip off" thats such a ricer honda move

judging by this post the info in your profile doesn't sound to far off

I don't think I know a single person running cut off injectors and I've seen WAY more rustangs running pep boys exhaust tips and tail lights than subarus.

True. It's not that they will spend more money, it's that there are more of them to buy it, so the cost is spread out over more parts being sold.

It's much easier to tack on $1 to 100 parts going out, than $10 to 10 parts going out.

#1: allways know a smog shop/tech personally
#2: don't get pulledover (radar, ect.)
#3: (only if #2 fails) run like hell, and don't get caught

cop cars are "slow" (as tested at the drag strip), all they are workin with is numbers and radio's
