Car pulls to the right on highway..

Hey Guys,

On highway driving my car pulls to the right (I will say more it drifts to the right)...When I press the brake I dont feel any movement, it stops straight. Just normal driving it will start to drift...Im thinking I need a alignment??...

Some Recent things I have done to the car:

-Brand new tires approx 300 miles ago
-Recent Tranny/Rear Diff Fluid Change (Motul Gear 300/LSD Subaru Diff)
- Front Psi 35/ Rear 33

This is for a 2005 STI, Anything I should look for?

Thanks!

if you take it into the shop just tell them it pulls to the right, they should be able to figure out why

Tram-lining maybe? Are they different width tires than you had before? My WRX used to get stuck in the depressions in the highway lanes and feel like it was drifting when I switched to slightly wider tires, my legacy does it too, but not as bad...

Jus wondering if your steering wheel is slightly angled to the right even the tires are in a straight position?? Reason why I ask is because some of my friends(also suby enthusiats) and I brought this subject up on night and compared our steering wheel alignment from our friends bone stock STi to my slightly modded STi and both steering wheel was slightly angled right. So in conclusion, we thought its just a normal thing since my friends STi is stock.

Just sounds like an alignment is needed. You should have it checked when you get new tires or once a year.

Roads are crowned (higher in the center for drainage) so most cars tend to go right just a touch.

Please keep in mind that highways are usually designed to slope in one direction for rain flow.

Just an FYI...

I had the same problem and had AI check it. They say it's normal because of how roads were built (water draining to the right). When I'm on the highway or streets my car slightly drifts to the right.

You can have the the alignment corrected for that, but it will go left if you're on a level road.

Unless it's a tire pull, but... that's hard to say without checking for it.
