Car For my Parents
Hey BAIC,
I'm looking to find the best price on a New Lexus for my parents. Wondering if anyone here can give me some tips on how to shop around. Yeah its not a subie but if you can help me out that would be great. Gonna start calling the local and bay area dealerships. But if you guys know of any other resources i can use it sure would help.
TIA

they should have the invoice price and info you will need. Email the internet sales guy at the various lexus dealers and schedule test drives. take your parents with you and walk on everyone of those sales guys. then figure out with your parents whom they liked the most, and what the best deal is.
Dealers are definatly willing to deal right now, but some are simply going to make it a PITA no matter what. i always find a fleet or internet guy for the sales process. they seem to be more down to earth, and easier to really get to the nitty griddy with.
i am sure others will chime in with other ideas.

PS you might loo into an auto broker as well. they can be helpful if you find the right one....

Go to consumer reports & print out a bottom line price report (you have to pay for one).
This will give you a good price to start negotiating up form there.
This will give you the actual price of each option as well (not MSRP option prices).

You should negotiate the price up....not down.
