Car broken into at San Leandro BART

Car broken into at San Leandro BART
They busted the passenger side window and stole my radio/gps unit from inside the dash. I found it when I came back from work, talk about a ****ty way to end the day. Had a BART cop come over and write up a report, really nice guy, named Len Olsen. He told me he could dust for prints if i wanted him to, but that it usually didn't get them anywhere.
Now on to the insurance claims. Bleh.

This and the thread about the stolen fogs should be a reminder to us all. It is that time of year again were folks will steal more brasinly to get a fash buck!
Sorry to hear about your car man. Realy hate seeing fellow Suby owners get shafted like that.

Damn that sucks bro, I go to school 2 days aweek at the Local 104 Union office In San Leandro and we have already had 2 break Ins.... I park my car nearest the brightest light! still not that reassuring...

The news reported the other night high amount of break-ins all over the bay area. Said they believe its because of the loss of jobs and homes people are turning to crime to make a buck. Really sucks that people have to go this low. They said in Foster City they have had over 70 car break-ins in the last month and most of the cars the glass wasn't even broke. More than likely using slimjim to get into the cars.
