So what do we know?
"Damage or Malfunction Due to Improper Repair or Unauthorized Parts
These warranties do not cover any part which malfunctions, fails or is damaged due to any unauthorized alteration or modification made to the vehicle such as the removal of parts or the installation of parts, equipment or accessories or improper repairs or adjustments not approved or recommended by SOA."
What else do we know?
That there was a previous problem.

Soooo I don't know if I'm trippin' ***** or if there is seriously something wrong. This was a cold start at around 50 degree weather in the morning. Its obviously not condensation, and notice after the big cloud of smoke clears you can't see anything but after a few moments the exhaust start smoking! Its hard to see in the video but its smoke not condensation.
This happens at cold start ups, long idles, and for a few moments after I turn the car off. Any ideas whats wrong?
Recently did an oil change with Castrol GTX 5W30 5.28 quarts (I put too much it requires 4.8) stupid mistake. I only have 230 miles on this oil change and I installed my Perrin TMIC the same day I changed the oil. This is when it started happening.
Small background, the coolant tank level varies from below the "low" light to just below the "full" line and I don't know why! Performance mods are as follows.
Perrin TMIC
Invidia Catless DP
Perrin Exhaust
Cobb SF Intake
Cobb Accessport
Torqued Performance stage 2 e-tune
Forge BPV

Just take it off and lean it against a wall with the throttle body side facing down into an oil pan. Give it a couple hours and clean the rest out.

Its a long story, warranty will cover ringland issue unless they can prove it that it was you. People has gone a long way with out an issue, and some has not, it all depends on how you drive it and what was done to it.

Brendan Bannister Are you serious? Screw over business? Please tell me how trying to make Subaru fix a broken ringland on a 45,000 car like Jeff's is screwing over a business? The ringlands blow on a lot of the cars if you go anything over stage 2! I don't see how Subaru can build a car and charge 45,000 for it if the engine can't handle a little extra power...

Your logic is improper and shuffled. You choose to modify your car beyond factory specifications. That already opens multiple factors from user error to install error. You basically are changing what the car is and into something else to produce more power. Thats in your hands not the store fronts. If your ring lands failed during STOCK conditions, then that is obviously a different story.

Although it is true you are modifying your car, the ring lands are a known issue. So its kind of up in the air. Did it blow because it was modded or was there a preexisting problem? Its a hard call.

pretty sure if you did a bit more digging all he did was overfill on oil.
