yes, apple and att are both stingy ***** with things, however, the iphone IS superior

plus it's being considered as a competing gaming platform because of it's motion sensor, the amount of games being devoloped on it, and the new firmware 3.0 having a bluetooth ability to be used with games and other things.

and yes, firmware 3.0 will have the turn by turn directions, mms, copy/paste, etc. they are finally adding in the things that people "want" even though in the beginning they tried to tell us they were things we really didn't need.

well good luck. like i've said in the past i liked the iphone for many reasons, despised it for many others (mainly no physical keyboard, and the ****-ness of their control over how you use it)

I just really like the functionality of the android OS, plus you don't have to wait for Android to release something you want because someone can just create an app for it.

For example the G1 doesn't come out of box with a video recorder, but there is an app that will do video recording. Apple is just too damn strict on what they let pass into the app library.. that gets super annoying.

Plus I like that I can shape my desktop on my G1 how ever I want it, the iphone makes you stick with their "interface" while the G1 is more like a computer, drag an icon over here it stays there, instead of staying in that "inline" mode. It's all the simple stuff that really makes this phone legit.

Plus I can run WINE on my G1 because it is based on linux.. which allows me to run crap loads of real computer programs if i wanted to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wine_(software)

a stock iphone is cool and all, but jailbroken is the way to go

video recorder programs, tons of themes, etc.

you can completely change the whole interface
i spent a few hours yesterday customizing mine even more

^^the themes are definitely bad *** once jail broken.. and a jailbroken iphone pretty much clears up 99% of my issues with it. but the touch screen keyboard... kills me.

and it's lame that you have to jailbreak the phone to do all the cool stuff. because there is endless crap to do with a jailbroken iphone.

The iphone has the power, don't hate the phone........hate steve jobs for his crappy business practices.

Iphone voice dials, it has blue tooth..........but the api for blue tooth voice dialing is apples only. Same w turn my turn voice gps, aapl won't allow it. We will have these capabilities in a month or so

Now theres quite a few things I could list right now......

can you get an accurate 1/4 mile time from your phone, no!, does it have endless applications? no!
The following behind the apps for the iphone makes it and will continue to make it **** on the other phones as far as a media portal gloryhole.

hmmm even better we have 1/4 mile times, 0-60, braking distance, and horsepower!


and it is FREE. the android market is massive.. it hasn't been open for over 2yrs like the itunes app market so you can't really act like "apple has their **** down" because in the beginning the itunes app selection was just like the android market's "launch". also i can sit there for hours in the android market.. which might i say has a lot more over all useful items.. the iphone has so many pointless no one needs apps..
not saying the android market doesn't have a bunch of crap apps in it.. but at least it is not as saturated with bull**** no one wants apps.

yea we have all that too. The thing is using the iphone it was tested vs. drag strip and almost dead on. Pretty impressive. Apple using solid materials thats what I like, but ya they are both pretty cool devices.

One thing I can say is while I consider my iphone superior, I don't consider paying over 100 a mo for a cell superior.
