Buzzing gear whine-like noise above 65mph
Video%201_zps54pr76i9.mp4
This is from my friend's 06 while she was driving home in the snow when it was around 25*F. Hopefully this vid will help more with diagnostic. (if video doesn't show, right click on the "broken image icon" and open image in a new tab. Sorry, I'm a noob with sharing photobucket vids)
I was thinking either it's the transmission whining from the cold, fuel pump, or mounts, but I digress. My car makes the exact same noise when under 40*F and it goes away completely after a full warm-up, but the noise is apparent since 0mph while her's is at 65mph after it's been warmed up.
Any help appreciated, thanks!

Could it possibly be a throw-out bearing? My friend made that suggestion on the issue. Either way, you're right, it doesn't sound good at all as mine didn't make a noise that bad since I replaced my ps pump.
On the other hand, my friend said the noise never came back since then, so for now it should be ok. Thanks for your input!

What section of the car is the noise coming from (Front, rear, wheels, transmission, diff, elsewhere)?
Have you done the simple checks already (like making sure all fluids have been checked and topped off accordingly or make sure nothing is dragging or loose)?

In general, the noise hasn't come back since then. Better safe than sorry, though.
