oh no....!!!!!
I put a deposit on a 04 wagon at Stevens Creek, should I cancel? They seemed cool when I went to test drive the 03 model. I went there because the dude at Carslen in Redwood city said they had a couple of wagons but I couldn't test one out cause they don't test drive their cars, only if they have a designated tester car.... I said Thanks I guess I'll be going somewhere else then. What a Jackazz. Maybe I'll cancel my order and go down to Santa Cruz and take a look.

Got mine at Stevens Creek, went on the last day of the month, strung them along about financing to get BELOW invoice, then wrote a check for the full amount. The guy was pissed but couldn't do anything about it, the forms were signed. Never went back for service. It was rather obviouse they don't know the difference between a WRX and a KIA.
One good tip, if there is a car on a dealers lot for 90 days the dealer starts to pay the interest on the price of that car. Before that Subaru pays it for the dealer. If you can find a car that has been there for @ 80 days, go real low and you can probobly get it.
If you don't have to save a couple of K's, Santa Cruz has the best, most knolegeable people. There service is second to none.

thanks for the input snowagon. I'm still flopping back and forth between the new 04 styling or just getting an 03 and changing the lights out. If they did a bang up job on the restyling I wouldn't have this problem but they did a so.. so job and it's a bit harder to say whether I like it or not.

I ran into the same policy there. I didn't have a problem with driving the designated tester. The limited test drive route was a bigger problem.
The upside is that you get a car with <10miles that you can break-in as you like. Not already abused on a test drive.
I bought from them. Good price, no haggle, had a suitable car in stock.
