Perhaps you haven't noticed, but there are lot of people with far too much money to throw around. =)

Besides, who says they're targeting kids anyway?

oh i second that idea mikes house is the uber pimp status pad, we can do 4 players on his 2 big screens, turn on his THX stereo system, and even throw on the dyno fan to add some realism...

haha

Hey, I make over 150$/week and I'm a teen. This is coming out of my own money.

I got my wheel, and its hard as hell to use on GT3 in 900 mode, which was expected since it wasn't programmed for it. On regular mode its fine, but the shifter is too "short throw" and if you try to flick it it WILL bounce back and flip you back down to the gear you were, and vice versa.

A comment on the reconditioned units: force feedback mechanisms are very delicate and are easy to break (although the DFP's is more durable than mose), i don't know if i want to buy a reconditioned unit not knowing if the motors will crap out on me in a few weeks.

I thought games that didnt support 900 mode locked the wheel into 200 mode? Also a few reviews mentioned the shifter spring-back but there are wheel mounted shift buttons too right?

You can manually select 270 or 900 degrees.

select+r1+r3

Used r2 instead of r1 for feedback level change.
