just got nailed with a state ref ticket in san mateo CA..catless hks dp n no resonators..the wagon wasnt sleeper enough!! i hate CHP.

i got cought by the sac county PD and he didnt knoe that i didnt have a cat. all he saide was it is too loud so he sent to the ref for DB check so i out my stock dp back on and
passed.

coffee can exhaust = Looks JDM, sounds sweet, but in the end makes you a target.

+1 for stealth single and dual tips.

 

I got stopped by CHP w/ my catless hks carbon-ti, all he did was poke around the hood and he couldnt find anything, I had a heatsheild over my dp. Aways I got away w/ a no front plate ticket =x

 

what kind dp do you have, and what kind heatshield is it? do you have any picture?

 

I got pulled over last night by CHP after leaving the movies...he said my windows were tinted...and my exhaust was "loud". I still dont have plates on my car and my girlfriend made nice with him...we started talking about the movie (I saw Xmen) and he told me to take off the tint and change the exhaust back to stock...and let me go....I got lucky....It kinda bothers me that on a Memorial day Friday night they would pull me over...mid-late 20's....GF in car....driving normal...and not looking for some drunk bastards.....

Thats your problem right there. Hks dp = teh suxors.. The cop was probably hating that you didn't have a bellmouth or dv wastegate, heh jp .

Too bad that happened, just hope for the best. Like said before steath single and dual tips will help do the trick. Running at least 1 cat isn't a bad idea either, gets rid of the very distinctive catless smell. What catback were you running?
