Burning through oil?
I got a 07 STI, about 24,xxx miles on em oil + filter changed about 2600 miles ago. And I recently checked my oil level and it's almost empty! Is this normal for STI's to have em burn all the way to the tip? I'm going to get my oil + filter changed this week. Does anyone experience this?

When you check the oil, the dipstick marks delimit one full quart. It's not uncommon for subaru turbo engines to burn oil at a higher rate than usual; just be glad you don't own a mazda rotary engine!
If you drive the car hard or do lots of short trips your oil consumption will be higher than average. Keep better tabs on the oil level (between the marks) and get a better idea of consumption/mileage.
Goodluck!

What kind of oil do you use? Also, the car was OFF when you checked your oil, right? Cuz if it was on, then of course it's going to be empty cuz there will be no oil in your oil pan due to the fact that it's dispersed inside your engine.

Well, that seems to be your problem. Mobil 1 Synthetic is just not a very good oil. I had the exact same issue you are having now when I was running Mobil 1. These cars just burn through that stuff. It tends to sheer down and become more like a 20W instead of the 30W oil it is supposed to be. There seems to be a couple of ways to combat this that I've seen.
1) Check your oil all the time, when you see it lower, top it off with more Mobil 1 5W-30
2) Mix in a heavier synthetic oil with your Mobil 1. I've seen people have good luck mixing in a 1 quart of 15W-50 Mobil 1 and then the rest of the oil is their standard Mobil 1 5W-50
3) Change off that oil to a different oil all together. I personally run German Castrol 0W-30 and this stuff is fantastic. I don't think I am burning oil at all anymore since switching to this oil. You may have to try 1 or a couple different types of oils to see what works well in your car.

turbo cars drink oil. I have 137k on my wrx, and it has consistently burned 1 quart of oil every 1500 miles ever since I finished the break-in period.

Do yourself a favor and stop using Mobil-1. Mobil-1 tends to run on the very thin side for a 5w-30, so it tends to burn off very fast. I personally use Rotella-T, but I've also seen people with great results with German Castrol and Amsoil.

Royal purple- Iwsti's a bunch of people get serious about their oil, it was found that royal purple oil was basically used up after 1k miles and was total **** by then.
If you are continuing to burn oil it's not the mobil 1 synth for exposing your problem. fault.........probably a tell tale of your motor. Switching to different oil is basically ignoring/hiding the problem. Hate to be negative, and many are ok but there are a lot of 07 sti that the factory tune doesn't suffice on and the motors don't last. Might want to get your car checked out.

not norm for sti with 24k to be constantly burning oil.

Hmmm. You all are tripping hardcore imo. Mobil 1 is some of the best oil there is. I used it from day one with my 05, I beat it and put 50k on it, last year or so commuting 100 miles a day. My car didn't burn any oil, and had perfect compression.
