Bubbling sound from the engine...
Ok, what i'm hearing is something like a bubbling sound comming from the engine. It happens when i first start the car and maybe rev to about 2.5 rpm's.(don't worry i don't usually rev my engine at all when i first start it). The first time it happened to me i added some coolant because for some reason it was low and the noise went away. I have not found any leaks nor has there been any evidence of a leak at all so i'm pretty sure i'm not loosing coolant but for some reason it tends to get low after a couple months of driving. Is this normal? Also has anyone else heard this bubbling sound?
thanks

I don't have this sound and I don't lose much coolant, even over a long period of time. Without hearing the sound or seeing your car for myself, I wonder if you've got a blown head gasket? You might then lose coolant into the cylinder and out the exhaust. I hope this isn't the case.
Know anyone that has a leakdown tester (and knows how to use it) and an air compressor?

I have had a similar prob on a different car -
One car had a very small hole in the plastic part of the radiator - I couldn't find it until I filled the car while it was hot and the water shot out of it but the radiator was never waterless however I did notice that I would run hotter than normal during summer days in stop-and-go traffic.

I have this problem too.
Gino's ( And Also Dave's Friend James) Advice:
In the morning, pop the hood. Open the radiator cap, and now start the engine, let it idle, and also turn on the heater on full heat and full blast. Now let it sit and idle, until it gets to proper temp. Watch the fluid in the radiator... If bubles come out at any time, you have air in the system, and most of it just leaft the system. I am getting air into my system now and then, and I'm having to do this like 2 times a month, letting air out. If the fluid level drops a lot, add some coolant straight to the radiator... Once it's been idling for a few mins at proper temp, cap it, and it should be fine.
My question: If i'm NOT losing coolant, as i'm not low, ever, BUT i am getting air into the system now and then, what could cause this?

i had a similar noise
I noticed it after a fuel fill up. Like the other post, that suggested air, that is what i think i had. i start the car or shut it off and i hear a bubbling noise. then i go a way. this happened for the day and that was it. It sounded to me i had some air in there. My noise seemed to come from the gas fill area or spout that goes to tank not in the front of the car. Like previously stated i think it may be air also. Hope this helps. If my noise didnt go away i was going to crack up the gas cap to see if it released any air or pressure but i didnt have too.

Yeah
I went through that trapped air in the system mystery as well. When it started up it sounded like a small stream or a "whooshing" sound that only water and air can do. I burped the system and added water/coolant and problem went away
I dont have the stock radiator anymore, but there have been many a plastic stock radiators go bad so maybe you have a tiny leak.

My thing is, i've looked for leaks, and find none....
