BRZ STI - drooooooool
2014 Subaru BRZ STI - Top Speed
Does this not look amazing? Everything the BRZ needs... lower suspension, bigger brakes and wheels, more hp... I think it will break through the top 3 of car and drivers best drivers car for 2014!

I forget who's it was, but a turbo BRZ was wrecked at a track day a couple of months ago. Mixed it up with a McLaren if I recall right.
Subaru confuses me... they dragged their feet for YEARS on brining a turbo to the US Impreza. I don't understand what the problem with with the BRZ

I think the car has quite a bit lower production cost than the wrx. No turbo, no awd difs etc. so they just want to squeeze every stingy penny out. If subaru thinks people will be excited for this car getting turbo'ed in 3 years they are highly mistaken.

They want to keep the BRZ the way it is because it is still creating demand. When the demand starts to drop off, they introduce the turbo to bring interest back. Same as any company who knows how to market a product.

Why can't they both exist. The BRZ can see 30+ mpg, some people will not accept lower mileage. There are so many now dubbed "purist" who like the low hp and ****ty tires, so won't they keep the regular model in demand? There is a lot of demand for the turbo now, thats what I don't understand.

HAH, really? S2000..... near price range brand new, no turbo.... Why does it have to have a turbo?
Thank you.
formula d hah gheeeyyyyy, more power to correct? more power to get better drifts? im sorry there's more to it than that. More power to keep up with D1GP drifters hah gheey
Why? Why would you? If anything a reasonable person would put a EJ207 in there, not a ****ty 2.5L usdm motor.

I guess because 34K is STI ballpark for a car built on the same platform but without a turbo or AWD running gear. Not trying to start (another) BRZ flame war, but its easy to see why people wouldnt pay STI money for a car that cost subaru less to build than a WRX
