Brz just broke 1k miles, clutch begins to feel grindy
So I just broke 1k miles in my BRZ. I have not driven it hard yet and followed the proper break in procedure. But today while I was driving, I noticed something really strange. When I depress on the clutch and release it after changing the gears as I'm releasing the clutch, I can sort of feel like it is grinding against something. What seems to be the problem?

I'm thinking the problem may be that you can pass your test in an auto and drive stick legally without any further training.

re: the OP, anything else you could describe about it? Have any manual experience prior?

In Sweden there are seperate license classes for auto and manual. The manual one obviously encompasses auto, but you legally can't drive a stick w/o a stick license, and all the test passing etc. that entails. Sounds like a good idea to me.

I'm not sure whether it is because I'm paranoid or if it is an actual problem. Its only at 1000 miles so I didn't expect a problem already. I'll definitely bring it in today.

Passing in an auto then jumping straight into a clutch with no training is dangerous
