I just read in the SF paper that the paramedics quoted the brothers as saying "Don't tell them what we did" to eachother while they were being transported. Not only that, but the paper reported that the toxicology came back as well over the limit for a DUI and significant traces of marijuana in them.

tiger uppercut.

in all seriousness though, the zoo had originally thought that the guys were taunting the tiger, from some further reading that might not be the case. the zoological society already paid an "undisclosed amount" to the family of the victim. crazy story.

And recent articles about it showed that the SF Zoo had been underfeeding the tiger and she had been steadily losing weight since being acquired from Denver Zoo.

Sounds like a case of negligence to me.

i find it funny that organizations run by people with money are representing the tiger species. "we as tigers are sorry for your loss, so here's a million bucks. we tigers would like to apologize for one tiger's actions and to say that Tatiana does not represent the tiger species as a whole"

yea those guys shouldn't mess with that animal. I know of a place and a person where part of the cage is cargo net style. Well the animal as up against it and he thought it'd be a wise idea to poke it softly in the butt. Well to put it simple, within less than a split second he was 4 feet back with a fat *** scrape (still scarred) and a bloody *** nose. He didn't even know what happened exactly it was so fast. Don't F w big cats they'll cut your throat before you can count to 1.

sounds to me like they needed to smoke more weed, then maybe they would have been scared.

Yea waving your arms is not call for attack but throwing **** in there is not cool. Wonder where the real fault lies. I mean it does stand to reason you are extra careful when visiting animals that can kill you so quickly.

reported by the examiner that the zoo reached a settlement w/the family of the brothers that got killed+attacked....$900k to be paid by the zoo's insurer not the zoo.

seems like a pretty lowball amount, esp considering the one of the guys got killed. rodney king got a few MILL ticket$$ just for getting his butt whupped!
