i'd suggest Motul 600 brake fluid, or ATE SuperBlue (my personal choice) brake fluid...

the braided steel brake lines definitely help as well.

You were probably cooking your brake fluid or glazing the pads/rotors. The Hawk HPS will fade MUCH worse. I would recommend trying some better fluid... trust me, I'm known for completely destroying my brakes

Nice! Been there before! I put 4 cracks in each front rotor once on my bugeye. Oh and I can't forget the time I was on an i-club drive, we all pulled over, and I see everyone running up to my car with cameras... I'm thinking WTF? Get out and see smoke POURING from all 4 brakes.. someone swore they saw some flames as well

ahahahha!! that is awesome! thats called REALLY USING YOUR BRAKES!

that shattered rotor happened in the middle of an Mr2 'fun drive...' obviously, from that point forward, i had to drive anchor... and yet, i was still catching up with the group despite my lack of brakes...

and i was about 100 miles from home and had to drive home on it. that was great fun!

Everyone compliments my Axis Ultimates and DBA standard slotted rotors.

Hell, even Ed was impressed when he drove my car.

Ed - "Wow, what kind of brakes do you have?"

Me - "Just put on Axis Ultimates a few weeks ago"

Ed - "Damn! I really need to bleed my fluid!"
