BOV... too ricey?
I had a really nice sounding/performing BOV on my last ride. I like em, but I'm not liking the ricey image that they seem to be picking up...

anything that doesn't add to performance or just for show, that is overly obvious = rice.

I guess if you want to say, "Hey look at me, I'm super fast", and want everyone within earshot to know it. Get one. BUT, if you're not really Super fast (12 second 1/4 mile or better), you're just sort of all bark and no bite, then people will just laugh at you. But in the end, if it makes you happy, by all means, do it. Of course that's if you don't mind being laughed at. I guess if I had a 12 second or better car I might have a BOV that made lots of noise on there too, and when someone challenged me I'd smoke 'em,....might be fun. But, all I have is a Cobb stage 2, and although it's quick around town, it's by no means FAST. There are plenty of cars out there that can smoke me in a 1/4 mile. I like to keep it as low key, minus some rims and a healthy exhaust note.

^^^^^^^^^^^I like the way you think. Until im unsmokeable, I think ill keep it a bit low key. I like the look and sound of stock... with the exception of maybe a little deeper sounding lope... then, after a few minor investments, i might let the cat out of the bag.

.. i got a stock bov, and i just added an inlet hose and a perring shortram .... the sound of the stock bov has just quadrupled and it doesn't sound off when your in low boost. so only if you do open throttle etc ... i like it. buh whatever float your boat get it. I personally dont think it's a rice mod.
