how much does a built motor cost? If Subaru is going to replace the motor for free, I think you should just do that because you even stated you're going to get an Evo anyways. Save the money for the evo

If there aren't any schematics of the motor online, is there a place where I could buy one locally? As in, dealer?

I'd also like some input on aftermarket pistons if anyone knows much about the diff in brands, metals, etc. This will be the first time buying engine internals and I want to know as much as possible.

Also, yes I'm aware that the ECU needs to be reflashed back to stock and that it won't just disappear when my AP was stolen, Jesus Ed, give me a little credit!

Daniel, you're just digging yourself into a deeper hole and I'm not sure why.

I'm not sure what hole you're referring to. What's so hard for you to understand that I have had the ECU reflashed back to stock after my AP got jacked? That was almost 2 years ago now that I think about it, seems like 10 years ago though... But yeah, the car has been in stock trim for daaaaaaaaays, I didn't have my car tuned very long unfortunately and I think that's why my #3 got pwn3d.

Sorry if I'm a little sloppy today, I'm trying to be as rational as possible but the tooth meds are making me friggin drooooowwwwsssy as hell. The beer prolly didnt help that.

I don;t recommend it.

If you are going to have Paul build your motor why not let him build out a package for you that he recommends?

I like doing my own research because I'm a weirdo like that. I def will talk to paul about the specifics if and when the time comes but right now I just want to learn as much as I can about it...
