i dont think black exhausts will ever be more suspicious. your best bet is to mimic the oem exhaust 100%...well obviously lol
i cant get myself to cut off my beautiful borla tip
#2 *tear* and it was just showing its first signs of rainbowing on the inside metal :sniffle:

I've never had any problems with my borla hush catback along with helix catless up and down pipes. I think you dont really have anything to worry about, but if you really are paranoid, i'd say paint the canister, not the whole thing. the fumes will give you tips a nice charred look anyways.

Well, like others have said, Hush looks pretty much stock, and it's not "BRIGHT" chrome like some exhausts, it has that matte, non shiny silver look and the tips do get kind of brownish. If you paint it, and the car is definitely modded, I think it would make the cop suspicious a little. Especially if it's night time, and he can't really see an exhaust since it's black, he might think your running NO exhaust which is horrible. So, IDK. I painted my Greddy Ti-C, but black on that is better than Bright *** Chrome with a Blue Burnt Tip loool.
But to the guy with the "The piping was coated for rust" excuse, that is freakin' Epic. Haha
