I'll have to find their contact info. Last time I talked to the guy, the shop was in the process of moving to a new location.

I think my cousin is friends with those guys.
I'll have to ask next time I talk to him. MKIVs are sweet.

I've heard of one with an older chevy 350 in it, but not an LS. A 510 would need some serious chasis work to handle that much torque. A big V8 would twist a poor little Datsun into a pretzel.

my tally so far is around $8k unfinished. thats including the shell, motor/tranny , mounts, new fuel setup, new radiator setup, all electrical and a bunch of other stuff going into an FC. labor was all done on my own, i'm now just waiting to button things up like the driveshaft, fuel , exhaust and stuff. The last thing you wanna do is be cheap on these builds, its easy and all but it would save a whole lot of skin and blood if you did it right the first time.

they do have kits for 510's but it's quite a bit of fab work , even for the sr/rb swaps you'd need to flip and modify the front crossmember.

you'd have to see it in person and feel the rush to fully understand why we do these things. A buddy of mine is doing an LSx swap into a miata at Blacktrax through Aki , boy that should be fun, riding in one stock is scary enough, hahaha.

All those older Nissan/Datsuns need serious chassis strengthening/reinforcement in order to really take advantage of the power a modern V8 puts out, especially an LS.

And as far as swaps for RX-7s and 240s, the major shop I know of outside of Cali is Hinson Supercars, and in the bay it's Daft, though they probably aren't as well known. I'll have to learn more about Shock Drifting.

That car has a 383 with a centrifugal blower, the blower is where the noise is coming from on Darius' car.

Doesn't have so much to do with the age of the engine, mine is based on a 1970 350 block but the last dyno run showed around 380whp. I have a broken diff mount in my car and am trying to figure out what to do about it as this is a common problem in these cars. I saw a 280ZX run at the drags back when I was in Hawaii and the guy broke his windshield on launch from tweaking the body.. It's no joke. I am planning on getting at least a 4pt cage in back mostly for the longevity of the car. Has strut tower bars which actually help a lot on these, but needs much more.

Supposedly the guy I got my car from spent around $20k building the car, and I have all the receipts but this also has body mods (fuel cell, battery in a safe box, external power cut, suspension work etc). The shortblock alone was around $7500, then the EFI kit was around $3k etc.
