PIAA makes wheels? Ug, I would not trust my life with something PIAA makes.

If you didn't already know, I hate PIAA. Biggest rip off for such inferior parts.

You didn't know PIAA makes wheels? They don't make many, they are heavy (like 22-25 lbs per wheel) and the sizing is like an 18 x 7.5" wheel, but they do look nice. Actually, pretty certain Auto Innovations has at least 1 PIAA wheel in the showroom / office area..

Yeah, I only know them for their lights and windscreen wipers. Their lights are absolutely horrible... Priced high but performs like crap.

I'm no automotive forensics expert, but I'd guess hit from the right rear and pushed into the car ahead of him? Anyone remember given the age of the thread?

Auto Innovations had a few on display when I was there last Friday. Not sure if they have full sets though. I didn't ask. I kept looking Rota wheels and I ended up buying a set of Slip Streams.

Given the pictures though... The PIAA's don't look that bad. They just got all bent out of shape, no real breakage. Still kind of a "meh" Brand IMO though.

Talk about your bumps from hell though...

It was a fluke deal. The set that I wanted happened to belong to one of the employees.

That's the only thing that sucks about spending a lot of time and money building a nice car. Some dumbass lousy driver (and there are a LOT of them in the bay area alone) can trash it in seconds.

I had a similar accident where some fool was racing another car on Montague at 880 and rear ended me so hard he smashed me into the car in front of me and that car into the car in front of her while we were all stopped at a light. Nobody was injured thankfully, but my car that had just had the engine fully rebuilt, that i had spent countless hours working on, was utterly destroyed.
