You can diss dell all you want- but I, nor any of my family have had any problems with tthe several desktops we have. Plus- I'd like to see someone find a better value than this...

We use Dell servers at work - 748 PE2450 servers in production around the globe today (less than half of our install). I am solely responsible for their status and condition (till today anyway...!!!) and the only thing besides drives that have failed is 1 DRAC and a few sticks of RAM. Not bad. I *personally* do not like Dell laptops, though I admit you would be hard pressed to find a better value.

I know exactly what you mean. I worked in the IT department for a big company last year and we constantly were sending back fuxored dell laptops, not only because of their build quality, but because people would drop them, step on them, and ask why they broke.
There was even one that broke the screen, it wouldnt start up at all, and the only salvageable thing was the HDD, which is good because a lot of data was on there.

This is the laptop I have: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...203995363&rd=1
It's pretty heavy and the build isn't as good as some of Dell and Apple's higher end stuff, but for the price it freaking pwns
