Ozumo is a top-ranked restuarant in S.F., so their prices and quality are to be expected. You get what you pay for, right?

ive had fresher sea urchin.

As a child, my father used to ge tthem right a tthe ocean, while the rest of my family just sat and enjoyed the beach.

Its strange that i look at it now and am kinda grossed out.. Ive become too americanized.
As a child, I used to eat them right out of the ocean.

Bad news for Kabuto fans. As of Sept. 1, Kojima san is selling the restaurant to the guys who own Ariake up the street. He's moving north to around Mt. Shasta because his wife Ayako has cancer and she needs the clean air and water.

I am surprised that no one mentioned Ray's Sushi in Hayward. It's in a ghetto area but their sushi are cheap and good.

I've got two places I visit.

I prefer Sushi O Sushi, but when I want fried oyster, I usually go to 1 of 2 places, Yoyo Sushi or Yuki Sushi.

Sushi O Sushi Japanese Cuisine
2789 El Camino Real
Santa Clara, CA 95051-3005
(408) 241-1677

Yuki Sushi
1827 Pruneridge Ave
Santa Clara, CA 95050-6528
(408) 248-9144

and Yoyo Sushi, they have a full bar:
3958 Rivermark Plz. (Moreland Way)
Santa Clara, CA 95054
(408) 213-9696

I agree on this. Ray's Sushi off of A St. is in the ghetto but they've still got some of the best and freshest sushi I've had in the Bay Area. From the consistently packed restaurant I think it's pretty safe to say that this place makes some great sushi.

Another one in Hayward is The Naked Fish off of Jackson. They specialize in some Hawaiian/Japanese style sushi but the ish is good. This place is more for the casual/young crowd.
