Wow, this thread gets bumped just in time. Hubert Keller's almost done opening Burger Bar (the dope *** burger joint in Mandalay Bay in Vegas) at the Macy's in Union Square. A snipplet about it is further down on the page of this article.

Went to Clarkes on Thursday. Holy smokes does that place pack in people for lunch!

Got the sharp cheddar burger. Others in my party got the 49er, bleu cheese, and lunch special. Man, that place is expensive!!! For my fiancee and myself, we spent $30!!! That's two drinks, our burgers, and a basket of fries. Sheesh!

Have to say though, the condiment bar is pretty freaking stellar. Quality all around, and a great REAL charcoal grilled burger.

kinda underwhelming burgers+experience, at least for my compadres+me. hit the westlake spot a couple weeks ago, & was pretty disappointed in the burger...wasn't terrible, but expected more, esp from a *strip mall joint* charging $11/burger.
::
yeah, it's supposedly Niman Ranch Beef, but the burger was pretty tasteless....decent size & chili cheese fries were aiite tho.

Try Jakes Pizza in Saratoga on De Anza. They got some mean burgers. I recommend the Pastrami burger.

You really want to be crushed by a burger
Go over to Willow Glen Meats near 280 & Bird and buy some of their Bluecheese Buffalo burgers. You gotta cook them yourself, and they will destroy any other burger out there.
While you are there get a Superhero Sandwich
Any place that makes 4 types of bacon in house it OK with me

The Counter at Santana Row is really good and a fun experience if you don't mind overpaying a little. (standard for SRO)

But my burger of choice is still IN-N-Out any day

Does Kal's BBQ steak sandwich count? You fix it just like a burger but it's a fricken steak as the "patty".

And BTW, why do Wendy burger cost so much compared to the rest of the fast food burger places?
