Best 7" In-Dash Navi

So I've been looking for a double din unit. I came across the Pioneer F900BT and Z3. Love the 900BT, but it's only 5.8", love the Z3, but the resolution kind of crappy comparing to 900BT and the interface is a bit old...

Can someone suggest a good 7" in-dash unit?

Requirements
  • Text to speech
  • Bluetooth
  • HDD
  • Voice command
  • DVD playback

i sent this email to my best buddy last nigth about the F90BT

http://www.gosale.com/4948051/pionee...FQ0xawodxkzHjg

this is the newest one which has the nav stuff stored in the unit already, blue tooth built in

6ave.com has it for 627

BUT

with that microsoft live cashback thing, you can get it off ebay for $420~
unfortunately, ebay just changed the percentage to 8%, but hopefually it'll go back up to 30% again soon since they keep going up and down (max cashback is $200 regardless of percentage)

it's 5.8", but I think it's a good unit for a decent price

I think the Z is pioneers only non motorized 7". all the other 7" are Motorized (N4)

yeah, 90BT is almost the same as 900BT. I also found great deals on the 900BT from Amazon... I want to see what I can get for 7"... if not, I'll just pickup the 900BT or 90BT. Thanks!

yeah, you are asking basically what my buddy asked me the other day
i spent a few hours on it yesterday for him and the best "reasonably priced" one i came up with is the 90BT (although it's not 7"), with the MS live cashback thing buying from ebay+paypal, $420~ is a pretty darn good deal for it

how reliable are those things btw? thanks for your help!

yeah, motorized is the flip out
http://www.gosale.com/4934685/pionee...n4-in-dash-dvd

I guess it just depends on what you want. the motorized one is 1 din, where the non motorized is 2 din.

as far as reliability, I just read the reviews on amazon, or if you want a pioneer unit then the avic411 forum is the BEST http://avic411.com/forum/index.php?s...6076eb8e88d6ad

i really like the look of DD... but if I can't find a good none motorized 7" unit. I would prefer 7" over DD.

thanks again for all the info!

oh, the Z3 (pricey) is dual din and motorized 7"
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...n-Dash/AVIC-Z3

motorized because the screen pops out a little bit then turns around backwards for security

it has text to speech, voice command, 30GB hard drive (20GB for navigation functions, 10GB for music storage), dvd playback,
but not built in bluetooth. you need this adapter http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...ssories/ND-BT1

and you can also put in bigger HDD's for it http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14915

*edit
just saw in post 1 "love the Z3, but the resolution kind of crappy comparing to 900BT"
doh

You can get a Z1 or Z2 for alot cheaper than a Z3 and then slap in the Z3 hard drive and get all the same updated firmware and points of interest.

Lots of choices here. My friend did it to his Z2. Also, video bypass is a little bit tricky for the Z1/Z2/Z3 if you're not too good with installing decks. you might want to get the one that says "w/ bypass"
